Charles Callahan's third volume in his series that explores the richness and splendor of Gregorian chant, the Church's shared treasury of song.
Charles Callahan's third volume in his series that explores the richness and splendor of Gregorian chant, the Church's shared treasury of song. Each setting reflects the character of the plainchant and features fluid melodies and engaging harmonies. Useful throughout the Church Year and serving various functions as attendant music to the service, these settings include several plainchant melodies that have become familiar as hymn tunes (e.g., CONDITOR ALME SIDERUM and VENI CREATOR SPIRITUS).
