This collection of arrangements and compositions for the Church Year is intended for children who are beginning to experience singing in two-part harmony. All of these arrangements may be sung successfully in unison. The addition of the second part, which consists mainly of ostinati, canons, and partner songs, will help to develop aural skills and vocal independence within the choir. The use of instruments such as flute, recorder, handchimes, percussion, and Orff instruments, in addition to the keyboard, greatly adds to the textural interest of each piece.
