Christ Is Alive! Seven Easter Settings for Organ
Seven creative, lively pieces that are both long and short based on hymns used throughout the Easter season.
This collection by J. William Greene contains seven creative, lively pieces that are both long and short based on hymns used throughout the Easter season. Five pieces are longer than the usual chorale setting and are intended for use as freestanding preludes and postludes. Two of these pieces are triptychs that can be played as one piece for a prelude or excerpted for other uses. The two shorter pieces are both fughettas for manuals only and could function as offertories or in other incidental roles.
