Growing as God's People - Student Book (2016)

Overview

This book for young adults and adults clearly lays out the meaning of the main teachings of the Bible and their meaning for daily living.  Each lesson helps the reader grow as a baptized child of God and as a member of His church. 

The purpose of this book is to help students grow in: 

• appreciating and faithfully using God's Word and the sacraments;
• knowing and confessing the Christian faith;
• following Jesus as their Lord and living as one of God's people; and
• taking place in the worship and work of the congregation. 

Pictures and illustrations have been included to help get the message across. There are opportunities to and discussion starters for students to talk about what they have learned, and suggestions for application in daily life.

The truths of the Christian faith have been arranged in 40 chapters that cover Luther's Small Catechism, The Creed, The Lord's Prayer, Holy Baptism, Holy Communion, The Church in Action (The Office of the Keys), and the Appendixes.
