This Lord’s Supper hymn, premiered at the service of installation for LCMS officers on September 11, 2010, is a translation by Rachel Mumme of Valentin Ernst Löscher’s (1673–1749) text Wie heilig ist die Stätte hier. The musical setting by Kenneth T. Kosche of the tune ES IST GEWISSLICH is for SAB choir, congregation, organ, and oboe or violin. The seven-stanza hymn may be divided and used before, after, or during the distribution of the Lord’s Supper. Reproducible congregation page included.
