Jonathan R. Mueller
The son of a Lutheran pastor, Jonathan R. Mueller was born in Yankton, South Dakota. He lived in central Nebraska during his elementary school years and in southeast Missouri during his years in high school. He holds bachelor’s degrees in elementary education and sacred music from Concordia University–Nebraska and a master’s degree in organ performance from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Jonathan met his wife, Dawn (Batavia, IL), while attending Concordia and they were married in 1987. Jonathan has been a church music director for nearly 30 years, serving Lutheran congregations and schools in Texas, Michigan, and Illinois. He currently serves St. Paul as the organist, director of the St Paul Handbell Choir, the St. Paul Brass, and the St. Paul Parish Choir, works with the Sunday School Choir, plans the worship services, and creates/oversees the production of the worship folder each week. He is a published composer of sacred choral, handbell, and organ music. He has also been a clinician and presenter at a variety of music and church conferences at the local, state, national, and international levels. Dawn has been a teacher in preschool, kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade classrooms at various times over the past 30 years and is currently serving as a 4th grade teacher at Zion Lutheran Church, Walberg (Georgetown) Texas. Jonathan and Dawn are blessed with four children and one grandchild.
