Luther's Divine Service: A Festival Setting for Small Choirs

This festival setting of Divine Service, Setting Five of Lutheran Service Book is designed for churches with smaller musical forces; it is arranged for two-part choir, organ, trumpet, and congregation. This setting was commissioned by The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Because all necessary musical components are included, the service can be used by any church. Settings are included for the following hymns:

• “Kyrie! God, Father”
• “All Glory Be to God Alone”
• “We All Believe in One True God”
• “Isaiah, Mighty Seer in Days of Old”
• “O Christ, Thou Lamb of God”
• “May God Bestow on Us His Grace”

This Divine Service setting is useful at many celebratory occasions and any time a congregation wants a festival setting of one of the six hymns.
