Richard Eyer
Rev. Dr. Richard C. Eyer is the director emeritus of the Concordia Center for Bioethics at Concordia University Wisconsin. Born and raised in New Jersey, Pastor Eyer graduated from Concordia Seminary St. Louis and was ordained to the ministry in 1965. Dr. Eyer has served as a parish pastor, director of pastoral care at Columbia Hospital in Milwaukee, and a professor of philosophy and the founder/director of the Concordia Center for Bioethics at Concordia University Wisconsin. Throughout his career, Dr. Eyer has had the privilege of working one-on-one with doctors, staff, and patients, giving him the opportunity to minister closely to those struggling under a variety of health, life, and spiritual issues. In 1990, he received the Dominus Vitae Award from Lutherans for Life. He is married to Susan, a deaconess, and the father of John and Mary.
