Mitchell Eithun
Mitchell Eithun (b. 1995) holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science and a minor in music from Ripon College (Ripon, WI) and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computational Mathematics from Michigan State University (East Lansing, MI). As a member of the Plant Morphology lab at MSU, Mitchell studies the shape of plant structures using x-ray computed tomography and topological data analysis. Mitchell has served as the director of the Ringers of the Kirk at the First Presbyterian Church of Holt since August 2018. He is also an alum of the Capital City Ringers (Lansing, MI) and Encore Handbell Ensemble (Oshkosh, WI) and previously taught a summer school music class for children. Along with writing about the history of Christian hymnody, Mitchell works to bring ecumenical liturgical practices to the campus community at MSU through studies and chapel services.
