O Savior of Our Fallen Race: Triptych on Putnam
A masterfully crafted prelude, meditation, and toccata on PUTNAM for organ and two instruments.
A masterfully crafted prelude, meditation, and toccata by Kevin Hildebrand on Stephen R. Johnson’s new hymn tune PUTNAM for organ and two instruments. This tune is used with "O Savior of Our Fallen Race" and "O Splendor of God’s Glory Bright" in Lutheran Service Book and the hymn harmonization is included in the corresponding key. A flute and alto saxophone or clarinet are suggested. These hymns are especially appropriate at Epiphany, Christmas, and morning, and may also find use elsewhere in the Church Year.
