Grade 2 teaching material consists of 9 units with 8 two-day lessons per unit. Each unit is introduced with various sections including: content and theme overview, worship and resource suggestions, display of the unit bulletin board, and a featured mission story.
Each lesson includes background information, a classroom devotional, lesson objectives, and a materials list including the web resources.
All lessons follow the same easy-to-teach format of three distinct parts: “Into the Lesson,” “Into the Word,” and “Into Our Lives.”
For easy reference, each lesson includes a reduction of the two pages of the Student Book and a reduction of the reproducible sheet with answers written in.
The Lesson Support section on last page of each two-day lesson includes ideas for extending the lesson. These may be activities to expand and enrich the concepts taught or suggestions for carrying the lesson theme into other curricular areas throughout the day.
