The autobiographical story of one man's involvement with the Worldwide Church of God (WCG).

The book chronicles his slide into the abyss of the WCG's deceptions, including false prophecy, spiritual abuse, emphasis on the Law, and subversion of the Gospel. It also explains the transformation Lapacka experienced as the WCG confessed its theological errors and, by the power of the Holy Spirit, began to profess beliefs more closely aligned with the historic Christian faith. In the process, the Holy Spirit guided Rev. Lapacka on a journey from the shadows of legalism into the full light of God's grace in Christ Jesus. He now embraces the historic creedal faith, has left the WCG, and joined the LCMS.
