An arrangement by Kevin McChesney of the opening march from George Frideric Handel’s opera Scipione (1726) for 3-5 octave handbells with optional trumpet. Level II. In this flexible arrangement, the optional trumpet may play on each section first time only, second time only, or throughout. For a longer version, play once with repeats, then play again without repeats. Part for trumpet in B-flat is included. Appropriate for all festive occasions, especially those including a procession or recession; also makes a fine concert piece.
