The text of this anthem, based on Philippians 4:4–7, serves as the Introit for the Third Sunday in Advent and also as the epistle for the Fourth Sunday in Advent. Performance on either of these days would be especially appropriate, but the composition also fits well as a part of special musical services or concerts.
