Featuring The Master Arts Chorale of Wichita, Kansas, Dr. John Leavitt, director. Requiem is accompanied by full orchestra on this superb new recording. This new Requiem is inspired by Brahms’s A German Requiem. Unlike the traditional Latin Mass for the Dead, this is a work to comfort the living and offer hope. Requiem is shaped conceptually by the Ordinary of the Latin Mass and the Divine Service. Each of the movements reflect the character, tone, and rhythm of the Ordinary. Features other publications by Leavitt which have been recently released, including Te Deum, Be Thou My Vision, and Sing to the Lord a New Song.
