So Much to Sing About (Full Score)
A festival concertato by Mark Bender of Jaroslav J. Vajda’s text for SATB choir, congregation, organ, and orchestra.
A festival concertato by Mark Bender of Jaroslav J. Vajda’s text for SATB choir, congregation, organ, and orchestra. This setting of Bender’s own sturdy, memorable tune can be used with or without orchestra. When instruments are not available, the organ accompaniment included with the Choral Score (98-4111) is to be used.
Echoing Psalm 90, the hymn text features themes including anniversaries, music, stewardship, and praise and adoration. Vajda described his own text as expressing "the urgent but happy use of one’s talents to the glory of God as centered in the Gift of gifts, Jesus Christ."
Full Score includes CD-ROM with reproducible parts for organ, flute, oboe, clarinet in B-flat, bassoon, two trumpets (Trumpet 1 and 2 in B-flat and C), French horn in F (substitute for Trombone 1), two trombones, timpani, chimes, suspended cymbal, two violins, viola, violoncello, and double bass.
A Choral Score with parts for choir, organ, and reproducible congregation page is available (98-4111).
