Refrain
The Lord has set the captive free;
Come, Christian, join the glad refrain:
Since Christ has won the victory,
To live is Christ, to die is gain.
Lord Jesus Christ, once crucified,
Arose in triumph from the grave
That we, who once in Adam died,
Might by His sacrifice be saved.
Now more than conquerors are we:
No demon, peril, depth, or sword
Can overcome Christ’s victory
Or separate us from our Lord. Refrain
Grant us, O Lord, the grace to live
Each day according to Your will,
Blessed by the labor that You give,
Content our calling to fulfill.
Lord, at the final trumpet sound,
When those who died in Christ are raised,
Let us among the saints be found
To join the heav’nly host in praise. Refrain
