Endorsements:
"If you are an art lover, a history buff or PhD, interested in coins and medals, a devotee of Christian and cultural history, and/or a fervid confessor of the faith as recovered and advocated by Luther and the Reformation, you are going to take great delight in this volume!

"These medals and coins bear testimony to the Christian faith and the Lutheran Confession (and its opponents!). They demonstrate how that confession was both appropriated and at times distorted over the centuries. Daniel Harmelink, one of the world’s leading Reformation numismatists, provides a guided tour to Reformation numismatics in general and detailed descriptions of each piece."
—Rev. Dr. Matthew C. Harrison, President, The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod

"The Reformation Coin and Medal Collection of Concordia Historical Institute is a tour de force in the field of numismatics and the most comprehensive book written on the topic found in the English language. The photography is gorgeous, and the book is a must for libraries and for Reformation institutes. Yet, the book is not for specialists alone, but also for those who want to understand the Reformation and how it was confessed more thoroughly. The book would adorn any coffee table well."
—Rev. Dr. Albert B. Collver, Director of Church Relations; Assistant to the President, The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod

About the author:
Daniel Harmelink serves as Executive Director of Concordia Historical Institute, President of the International Association of Reformation Coins and Medals (IARCM), and Chair of the Board of Trustees of Lutheran Bible Institute in California. After twenty years of studying Reformation numismatics, he partnered with German medallist Victor Huster in 2010 to design and strike high-relief commemorative Reformation medals in anticipation of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017. Their 2011 medal “Luther the Rising Swan” won first prize in the Deutschen Medailleurpreis Johann Veit Döll competition for 2012.
