Cathy Moklebust has arranged the 17th-century Dutch tune VRUECHTEN for 3–6 octave handbells. Level II+. This festive arrangement is appropriate on Easter Sunday or at any time throughout the Easter season, as well as for spring concert use. It features a lively original melody used as an introduction, for interludes, and as an ending. Special handbell techniques include malleting, plucking, thumb-damping, and martellato. An edition for 2–3 octaves is available, Order No. 97-7076PDF or 97-7076POD. The two editions are compatible for massed ringing.
