To Us a Child Is Born- Children's Christmas Service CD-ROM
As the central theme for this Christmas program, the words of Isaiah 9 help us reflect on the promise God the Father fulfilled through the birth of His Son, a gift to us, that we may become the children of God.
Overview
During Christmastime, believers of all ages gather to sing songs that have been sung for generations in celebration of our Savior’s birth. But along with those traditional hymns, each new generation adds to the Church’s praise of the Lord, creating a rich heritage of hymnody throughout the ages.
To Us a Child Is Born celebrates both by including favorites that are hundreds—some almost thousands—of years old, and a new song for Christmas, “To Us a Child Is Born" composed by husband and wife Jacob B. and Rachael E. Weber. As the central theme for this Christmas program, the words of Isaiah 9 help us reflect on the promise God the Father fulfilled through the birth of His Son, a gift to us, that we may become the children of God.
This new Christmas service provides a variety of ways to involve children in a Christmas service. With a program for all ages and one for early childhood, children can serve as readers, speaking characters, and nonspeaking characters. Scripts are written for 5 to 7 speakers but since the service is provided in an editable form, you may delete or add parts. Reader parts can be combined or divided into even more parts if needed.
Everything needed for To Us a Child Is Born is provided, including all music, bulletin information, leaders notes, lyrics, scripts, a children’s message, everything needed for an early childhood program, a planning timeline, and more.
This Christmas program has been written by Lisa Clark.
