The theme of this series is based on the final words of Christ that He spoke from the cross as He offered up His life for the life of the world.

Ash Wednesday. The Pardoning Word: "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34) 

Lent Midweek 2. The Promising Word: "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in paradise." (Luke 23:43)

Lent Midweek 3. The Faithful Word: "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" (Matthew 27:46)

Lent Midweek 4. The Compassionate Word: "Woman, behold, your son! and "Behold, your mother!" (John 19:26-27)

Lent Midweek 5. The Suffering Word: "I thirst" (John 19:28)

Lent Midweek 6. The Dying Word: "Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit!" (Luke 23:46)

Maundy Thursday. The Remembering Word (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

Good Friday. The Fulfilled Word "It is finished!" (John 19:30)

Easter Vigil. The Restful Word (the 7th day, rest in the tomb).

Easter Sunday. The Vindicated Word: "He is Risen!"

• Midweek 6: The Dying Word (Jesus died for our sins so we can live forever)
• Maundy Thursday: The Remembering Word (Although we sometimes forget about God, He always remembers us)
• Good Friday: The Fulfilled Word (We cannot keep God's commandments, but Jesus fulfilled the Law for us)
• Easter Sunday: The Vindicated Word (Jesus gives us new life)
